Here we have a couple of types of crab represented in metal sculpture....

Cornelius is a crab metal sculpture based on a male fiddler crab, hence one massive claw and one small one.  It was those eyes that did it for me - I looked at a picture of a fiddler and when I saw those eyes I just new I would have to make one. He is made in mild steel with the eyes and mouthpiece joined using bronze weld material. The side to side distance across his legs at the widest place is approximately 280mm and he stands 150mm high to the tops of his eyes. The Connelius pictured was sold a while ago but I can make something similar for around £270.

Edwina is a crab metal sculpture based on an edible crab - how unfortunate to be of a species which is actually named as 'edible'. The construction techniques are slightly different to Cornelius - the way the claws and arms are put together is different. Nonetheless she is still made in mild steel with just the eyes and mouthpiece joined using bronze weld material. The side to side distance across her legs at the widest place is approximately 280mm and she measures approximately 300mm from tip of back leg to tip of claw. Edwina is for sale for £200.
